We are delighted to welcome back Rakhat-Bi Abdyssagin, who was last in Dunfermline in March 2024 when the performance of his opera, The Bruce, was highly acclaimed by a capacity audience. The opera formed part of Abdyssagin’s studies for his Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of St Andrews and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He is returning to Scotland for the graduation ceremony. Knowing that he would be in Scotland, he has offered his talents for a special performance at Dunfermline Abbey, and we hope that many of those who enjoyed the performance of the Bruce will return for a special piano recital on Sunday 29th June at 4pm. The event is free, but donations will be greatly appreciated.
